Merchants face transaction failures and delays on the payment gateway's dashboard
Payment gateway firm Razorpay has been down since 10 am on April 14 due to technical issues, with merchants facing transaction failures and delays, sources told Moneycontrol. “We are currently seeing failures in the merchant dashboard due to a technical issue within Razorpay. Our internal teams have isolated the root cause and are actively working internally to resolve the issue at the earliest,” the fintech said in a message to merchants.
Razorpay was yet to issue an official statement and the glitch remained unresolved at the time of publication. The post added that merchants are likely to experience failures or delays while processing the Merchant Dashboard. It promised to update and notify once the issue is resolved.
In March, the Bengaluru-based fintech launched Agent Studio, an artificial intelligence-led platform designed to help businesses automate payment-related operations such as recovering failed transactions, responding to disputes and managing subscriptions. The company has kick-started the process to go public, with the firm shortlisting four investment banks as advisers for a proposed $700 million initial public offering (IPO).
Razorpay reported a 65 percent jump in consolidated revenue for FY25 at Rs 3,783 crore, driven by growth across its payments gateway, point-of-sale (POS), loyalty, RazorpayX, and international businesses. Gross profit rose 41 percent on-year to Rs 1,277 crore, reflecting improved operational performance and higher contribution from non-payment gateway verticals.
The company, however, reported a post-ESOP loss of Rs 1,209 crore, which it attributed to one-time costs related to its redomiciling in India, including restructuring and tax payments.
