Visa’s India and South Asia Head Sandeep Ghosh to exit

Visa says India and South Asia Group Country Manager Sandeep Ghosh is leaving for an external opportunity, a successor is identified, details on timeline and his next role not disclosed. Sandeep Ghosh, Group Country Manager for India and South Asia at Visa, has decided to leave the company for an external opportunity, the global payments firm said.

Visa confirmed that the decision was communicated in advance and that a successor for Ghosh has already been identified. The company did not disclose further details about the transition timeline or Ghosh’s next role. Ghosh has been with Visa for several years, leading the company’s operations and strategic initiatives across India and the South Asian region.

Before joining Visa in March 2022, Ghosh was a partner in financial services consulting at EY, according to Storyboard18. He brings over 35 years of experience across financial services, consulting, and FMCG sectors, having worked in more than 25 countries. Ghosh has held leadership roles at EY, AXA, Citibank, ANZ, RBS, and PepsiCo, focusing on digital payments, financial inclusion, business growth, and strategic partnerships.

He holds an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and financial management from the University of Mumbai.
