Today at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference, Zoom announced a new wave of healthcare-focused innovations, underscoring its continued commitment to advancing clinical workflows, frontline collaboration, and patient engagement. With expanded EHR integrations, enhancements to Zoom Workplace for Frontline, and deeper Zoom CX connectivity, Zoom is building a more unified, AI-first ecosystem for healthcare organizations.
“At Zoom, we are building on our market leadership in telehealth by expanding how Zoom’s broader platform supports personalized clinical and operational workflows, helping healthcare organizations deliver smarter, more connected care at scale,” said Jeff Smith, Head of Product – Workplace AI, Meetings and Spaces at Zoom.
“We look forward to unlocking new possibilities for healthcare organizations to reimagine how care is delivered and experienced.” Strengthening EHR Integrations Across Zoom’s Platform Zoom Contact Center is now available in Epic Toolbox and will be generally available in April 2026.
With more than 300 healthcare organizations already leveraging Zoom’s CX solutions to power patient communication and support, this integration deepens our ability to support large scale adoption across hospitals, health systems, and payer networks. This integration allows agents to have access to Zoom Contact Center functionality directly within Epic, helping healthcare organizations unify patient communications within the EHR environment.
New capabilities include: Embedded call bar within Epic to manage calls without app switching. Smart screen pop to automatically surface patient records for incoming calls. Click-to-call and direct dial from patient profiles. Auto pause/resume recording to help protect sensitive payment information.
These enhancements streamline patient engagement operations, while supporting compliance and security, a critical need for healthcare contact centers managing high call volumes and complex workflows. Zoom is also expanding its healthcare ecosystem with an Epic integration for Clinical Note, designed to simplify clinical documentation and accelerate provider workflows.
This integration allows clinicians to capture, review, and finalize AI‑generated clinical notes without ever leaving Epic Haiku or Hyperspace, eliminating the need for manual transcription and reducing administrative burden. Key capabilities include: Epic Mobile Haiku Integration: AI-first clinical notes captured in Haiku are automatically synced in Epic Hyperspace, enabling fast, accurate documentation from mobile devices.
Ambient Voice Notes: Visit summaries are captured and converted to structured documentation in as fast as a minute, helping providers focus on patient care rather than paperwork. Lastly, Zoom Virtual Agent (ZVA) is now integrated with Epic ** enabling healthcare organizations to automate routine patient inquiries across voice and chat channels, allowing clinicians to focus on higher-value, patient-centered care.
With ZVA’s latest enhancements, Zoom will help healthcare systems reimagine patient engagement, reducing administrative burden, improving patient access, and setting a new bar for intelligent, connected care experiences. Zoom Workplace for Frontline Advancements Building on its commitment to empower healthcare professionals, Zoom is introducing new capabilities within Zoom Workplace for Frontline designed to streamline communication and coordination for clinical and operational teams.
The enhanced solution, expected later in 2026, will enable teams to communicate instantly to close gaps with urgent messages, start every shift with clear visibility into who’s on duty, and provide a single workspace for faster handoffs and collaboration. These features include: *Urgent Notifications: Enable instantaneous, two-way, facility-wide communication during critical events.
