ACI Worldwide Partners with dLocal for Brazil and Mexico Payment Access

Partnership Expands Latin American Reach

Payment processor ACI Worldwide has joined forces with infrastructure provider dLocal to connect global merchants with regional payment options in Brazil and Mexico. The alliance brings local methods to ACI's cloud-based orchestration platform through a unified integration.

Merchants can now process transactions using country-specific payment rails without building separate connections for each market. The collaboration combines dLocal's regional network with ACI's enterprise-grade platform infrastructure.

Supported Payment Methods

The integration supports several popular payment options across both markets:

  • Brazil: Pix, PicPay, Mercado Pago, NuPay
  • Mexico: Mercado Pago, OXXO, SPEI

Additional Latin American markets are scheduled for future rollout, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The phased expansion will extend the same single-integration approach to merchants operating across the region.

Addressing Regional Complexity

Vlademir Santos, head of sales for ACI Worldwide Brazil, framed the challenge facing merchants entering high-growth regions.

As merchants expand into high-growth regions like Latin America, the challenge is no longer simply accepting payments, it's managing growing complexity while maintaining performance, flexibility and control.

He added that the partnership enables merchants to orchestrate payments on their own terms while accessing locally trusted methods, supporting improved customer experiences and conversion rates.

Combining Local and Global Capabilities

Horacio Raviolo, head of commercial partnerships at dLocal, emphasised the complementary strengths each company brings to the arrangement.

By combining our deep local payments coverage and regional knowledge with ACI's world-class orchestration infrastructure, we give merchants the best of both: the reach to win locally and the control to scale globally.

ACI described its orchestration platform as acquirer-agnostic, supporting intelligent transaction routing, fraud prevention, and real-time payments intelligence.

Broader Platform Expansion

The dLocal partnership follows ACI's expansion of its unified cloud-native platform ACI Connetic earlier this year. That platform now connects to eight major US payment networks, including Fedwire, CHIPS, Swift, The Clearing House RTP, Zelle, and FedNow.

The dual expansions — into Latin American local methods and US payment rails — reflect ACI's strategy to provide global merchants with comprehensive access to diverse payment ecosystems through centralised orchestration.
