LTVCo Acquires Kipp to Scale Issuer-Merchant Payment Network

Investment Group Backs Payment Network's Growth

An investor group led by The Lifetime Value Company (LTVCo) and its founders has acquired Kipp, an issuer-merchant network that helps recover declined card transactions. The companies did not disclose financial terms of the deal.

The acquisition aims to support Kipp's expansion across the United States, fund technology development, and grow its network of issuer and merchant partners. Kipp will maintain independent operations under its current leadership team.

Platform Connects Merchants and Issuers for Transaction Recovery

Founded in 2021, Kipp operates a two-sided network that lets merchants pay for transactions initially declined due to insufficient funds. Card issuers retain full control over which transactions they approve and set premium pricing to compensate for the added risk.

The platform enables approval of up to half of transactions that would otherwise fail, without adding friction or fees for end consumers. Merchants recover lost sales while issuers gain revenue from transactions they previously turned down.

CEO Outlines US Network Growth Plans

"Our focus now is expanding our US issuer and merchant network and bringing more transactions onto the platform," said Kipp CEO and Co-founder Chanan Lavi. "This acquisition gives us the long-term backing and operational resources to accelerate that work while preserving what makes Kipp valuable: issuers control their risk, merchants recover sales, and consumers pay no additional fee."

Acquirer Adds Payments to Consumer Brand Portfolio

LTVCo operates a technology and information services platform with consumer brands including BeenVerified, Bumper, and Ownerly. Adding Kipp extends the company's reach into the payments sector and positions it within the issuer-merchant ecosystem.

"Every unnecessary decline costs a merchant a sale and an issuer a chance to remain the customer's preferred card," said LTVCo CEO and Co-founder Josh Levy. "We've seen that firsthand. Kipp aligns both sides to recover that revenue and deliver a better customer experience. We're committed to building Kipp for the long term, with the financial strength and resources to invest in its technology, expand its network, and support its partners at scale."

Founding Team to Lead Ongoing Operations

Kipp will continue under the leadership of its co-founders, CEO Chanan Lavi and CTO Nir Levy, maintaining operational independence as it scales its US presence and partner network.
