New Dashboard Integration Centralizes Apple Presence
Square has rolled out an integration with Apple Business that lets sellers manage their visibility across Apple Maps, Siri AI, Apple Wallet, and other Apple services directly from the Square Dashboard. The feature launched Thursday and is available to Square merchants of all sizes in the company's eight supported regions.
Sellers who connect their locations to Apple Business through Square can now handle their brand presence, sync business details, and provide action links for customers — all without leaving the Square platform.
What Sellers Can Control
The integration delivers three core capabilities for merchants:
- Brand management and logo addition to enhance presence on Apple Maps place cards
- Automatic synchronization of hours, address, and phone number across Apple apps and services
- Action links for Menu, Order, Pickup, Delivery, Book, and Schedule Appointment that let customers transact directly from Apple Maps place cards
Business-verified Square sellers in the United States and Canada who don't already have an Apple Business account can enroll directly through the Square Dashboard.
Additional Features Coming
Square plans to expand the integration with more capabilities in upcoming releases. The company said these may include place card engagement metrics and peer group benchmarks to help sellers measure their performance.
The survival and success of local businesses hinges on whether customers can find them, and today, more of that discovery happens through Apple Maps. This integration means our sellers don't have to choose between running their business and keeping every channel updated.
That's according to Morgan Kuntze, global partnership lead at Block, Square's parent company.
Part of Wider AI Discovery Push
The Apple integration follows Square's July launch of ChatGPT and Claude integrations designed to help merchants get discovered during AI-powered customer conversations. The company also partnered with Amazon to extend AI-powered discovery to voice commerce through Alexa+.
Kuntze framed the moves as part of a larger strategy when the AI integrations were announced.
Modern commerce is moving at a sprint, and we're building Square to help sellers appear everywhere customers are going.
