New ROI Feature Tackles Measurement Gap
French document fraud specialist Finovox has introduced a return on investment capability designed to help fraud and risk teams demonstrate the business value of their prevention efforts.
The feature ties individual fraud decisions to their financial outcomes, enabling organisations to monitor avoided losses and operational savings directly within the Finovox platform. According to the Paris-based company, many prospective clients currently depend on manual spreadsheets to evaluate whether their fraud prevention spending delivers value, a process that adds administrative burden to already stretched teams.
Scale of Document Fraud in Europe
Research conducted by Finovox in partnership with polling institute Selvitys indicates that fraudulent documents account for around 3 per cent of document flows in banking and 5 per cent in insurance.
The study pegs the typical value of a fraud case at approximately €5,000 in banking and €500 in insurance.
Marc de Beaucorps, co-founder and CEO of Finovox, said:
You can't effectively tackle a problem if you don't understand how much it is costing your business. Fraud is no different. Yet many companies still struggle to quantify its true financial and operational impact. Our new ROI tool is designed to change that, giving businesses a clear view of the losses they are preventing and the value their fraud prevention efforts are creating.
Shifting Focus from Detection to Value
The company says the tool is intended to move organisations beyond simply spotting fraud toward understanding its cost and the savings prevention delivers.
For fraud and risk teams, the capability offers a more straightforward method to demonstrate their contribution to the business while reducing the manual work typically required to calculate returns.
Expansion and Revenue Growth
Founded in France, Finovox applies AI to identify falsified and altered documents and to strengthen verification workflows. The company serves more than 70 clients across 15 countries and entered the UK market in May 2026, targeting sectors where document fraud poses substantial financial and operational risk, including financial services and insurance.
Finovox reports that it tripled its revenue in 2025 and helped customers avert more than €100 million in potential fraud losses during the year.
